Chicago rapper Chief Keef was back in court Monday, this time paying a fine after he was clocked driving 110 miles per hour on the Edens Expressway in Northfield in May.
Chief Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, was ordered to pay $531 for his May 27 arrest in Northfield, where he was pulled over after driving twice the posted speed limit, according to the Cook County Circuit Court Clerk’s office. He paid the fine and has no other outstanding debts.
He also faced a charge of driving with an unlawful number of passengers for a graduated driver, but that charge was dropped, according to the clerk’s office.
A dashboard camera video of the arrest surfaced shortly after, and after an officer tells Cozart that he was driving 110 mph, he is heard responding, “That’s a fast car. That’s why I bought it.”
